McGee Foundation Scholarship

Established by the McGee Foundation. Award scholarships to students with financial needs (EFC on the FAFSA of less than $10,000) who are from underrepresented areas and show academic promise. A minimum GPA of 2.5 will be required for high school and college course study and to identify those who show academic promise, as we will look for a trend of improving academic performance during their high school and college career, as well as their response to questions on the scholarship application. Students will also be expected to commit to at least one experiential learning activity per year and 10 hours of community service to strengthen their chances of success and investment in WV communities. The majority of the funds will be awarded to freshmen, with the intention of renewing the awards annually if students continue to qualify. Each year we will also reserve a portion of the funds (20-25%) to assist students with pressing needs.
